do you know any good poems? classic ones? you have posted so much stuff that i can connect to and im like really thankful for that.. and i sort of need a poem. if its not too much maybe you can help. i just need one for a class.

Firstly, thank you. It’s so nice to hear that and I don’t know, a whole bunch of messages came through on a day I needed something nice, so thank you so much.

To poetry… I would say I’m not the greatest person to ask for classical poetry. I seem to enjoy the modern ones more. You could check my poetry tag (here) but I’m not sure how ‘classic’ you need the poetry to be. If I’m thinking of old poems I like, we’re probably looking at… Invictus by William Henley, Alone by Edgar Allan Poe, The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. I remember doing “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou for my poetry assignment in grade 12. 

I hope this is a little bit helpful, otherwise go and take a look at Shinji Moon. She’s one of my favourite tumblrs and posts some wonderful poetry, I’m sure she’d be willing to give you a list if you asked her.
