I just got home from their concert. I have been amazed. They sound fantastic. They sound like they do on their records, and given how much I love their records, that’s a massive compliment. Crooked teeth, soul meets body, tiny vessels, transatlanticism, I will possess your heart - all so fantastic.
But the one thing I have not got a large enough vocabulary for is how Ben Gibbard sang ‘I Will Follow You Into the Dark’. It was so beautiful and in that moment, i don’t know but everything as beautiful and I got chills and it was just…. I don’t think you can appreciate how good it was unless you’ve seen them live.
Because it was beautiful. All of it.
